Celebrate World Shorebirds Day at Spittal Pond!
Join us for a morning walk at Spittal Pond as we celebrate World Shorebirds Day and welcome the start of fall migration.
World Shorebirds Day is a global initiative that shines a spotlight on shorebirds, their incredible migratory journeys, and the habitats they rely on around the world.
The 2025 State of the Birds Report identifies 19 shorebird species at a tipping point due to significant population declines. Many of these species can be seen at Spittal Pond, which provides vital habitat for migratory birds as they rest and refuel.
The walk will leave from the eastern car park at 8:30 a.m.
Bring your binoculars, curiosity, and love of birds. Everyone is welcome!
