Yellow-rumped Warbler

Status:

Annual and often abundant migrant with many overwintering. Seen mainly from October to April. Western 'Audubon's' race has been recorded once.


Local Habitat:

Often seen feeding on or close to the ground on golf courses, parks and gardens or foraging in the foliage of trees and shrubs. Often in woods and copses but also frequents mangroves.


Habits:

Often seen in close proximity to Eastern Bluebirds, or feeding in mixed warbler and/or sparrow flocks.


Commonly Seen:

Arboretum, Botanical gardens, parkland and golf courses
