Annual migrant. Can be fairly common in Fall and Spring. Small numbers overwinter.

Ponds, marshes, fields
Habits:
Roosts with other herons overlooking water
Commonly Seen:
Spittal Pond, golf course ponds, Devonshire and Pembroke marshes
