Status:

Common migrant primarily in the fall months (mainly late July to November). Occasional birds remain over winter with a small Spring passage increase noted annually. Birds have been documented in every month.


Local Habitat:

Pond edges and flooded fields, occasionally coastal.


Commonly Seen:

Spittal Pond. Pond edges and golf courses and any flooded grassy areas after heavy rain/storms.
