Status:

Annual very common passage migrant recorded in every month, but primarily in winter between October and April.


Local Habitat:

Common on airport margins, often seen on tidal flats, rocky coastlines and islands, stony wasteland, beaches and jetties. Often seen on ponds, golf courses and farmland during migration.


Habits:

Usually seen in small flocks and often with Ruddy Turnstone. Several large roosts can be seen throughout winter.


Commonly Seen:

Airport, Dockyard (Cross Island), Great Sound islands.
