Status:

Regular to Annual migrant. Has bred with Mallard. Found mainly in the winter months (Oct to May). Numbers vary annually.


Local Habitat:

Freshwater ponds often in close proximity to Mallard, flooded fields, cattle pastures.


Commonly Seen:

Spittal Pond, golf course ponds, Pitman's Pnd.
