American Crow
Corvus brachyrhynchos
Status:
Very common naturalized species. Endemic crow exterminated by early colonists. Two crows introduced in 1838 from Nova Scotia. Now a pest bird which causes damage to crops and affects breeding success of local birds such as Longtails.
Local Habitat:
Found throughout Bermuda in small groups.
Habits:
Nests in dense thickets from April, laying three eggs.
Commonly Seen:
Large roost on Town Hill, Smiths Parish
