Very common, sometimes abundant winter resident. Occasional breeder.


Local Habitat:

Marshes and ponds. Migrants often on cattle farms.


Habits:

Dabbles and dives on ponds and head pumps when swimming. Regularly walks on land. Often in large flocks.
