Status:
Occasional vagrant seen primarily in the late fall with mainly single birds being documented. Overwintering has been recorded on three occasions. A single breeding attempt documented in recent years. A good find and may be visiting more frequently with at least three birds seen in Winter of 2022-23.
Local Habitat:
Parks and gardens Island wide. Can be seen feeding on open tree bark as well as in dense shrubbery. Occassionally heard calling.
Commonly Seen:
Botanical Gardens, Arboretum, open parkland.
