Our Mission: "To conserve Bermuda's special bird life and habitats for the benefit of all."

The Bermuda Audubon Society is a membership society run by an executive committee of volunteers. A non-profit registered charity (No. 99), we have no premises or paid staff and rely on voluntary assistance from our members and the corporate community.

The Bermuda Audubon Society:
  • Brings together those interested in birding and environmental conservation for shared information and enjoyment.
  • About Us Overview 2Acquires land for nature reserves and restores wetlands and other wildlife habitats. We own 16 nature reserves in Bermuda - approximately 60 acres of open space. Several properties were acquired jointly with the Bermuda National Trust through the Buy Back Bermuda campaign.
  • Provides conservation education through field trips, lectures, an annual birding camp and the annual Nonsuch Natural History Camp for teenagers
  • Advocates for Bermuda's natural environment and promotes public awareness of environmental issues.
  • Supports conservation projects such as the Bluebird, Longtail and Cahow nest-site programmes.
  • Gathers bird data through an annual Christmas Bird Count and member contributions to the e-bird database, and funds research relevant to its mission.
