Lambda Island
1.0 acre, Great Sound
Bequeathed by Gladys Collison, 1985
No landing during tern nesting season, April to August. No dogs.

This isolated islet in Great Sound is important for nesting longtails and a potential nesting site for common terns. It is rich in marine fossils. Additional nest sites for longtails have been created using artificial ‘igloos’.
